- The Farm

The Farm, a Plein air painting capturing a hot summer day.  This was painted in Picton Ont., on a scorching hot summer day.  I had to work fast since the paints would quickly dry on my palette.  Good thing, since suddenly, the hard working farmer arrived with his tractor, quickly picking up the hay bales before I could even finished them, leaving the field empty!  We both had a good laugh once he finished and he even apologized for his actions.  Luckily, I already had them roughly outlined. Phew!
