- Sunset over Algonquin

This painting was influenced by the brushwork and palette of famous Canadian artist Tom Thomson.  This painting captures a singular moment in Algonquin Park when I witnessed the sun setting over the distant hills, reflecting off the waters and shoreline rocks.  The vivid reds and yellow, echo the warmth of a summer sunset, while the distant hills provide contrast.  This work invites the viewer to step into a moment of time reminiscent of early days when Tom Thomson was also inspired when visited this beautiful area.
