- Sunset over Algonquin

Influenced over the brushwork and palette of Tom Thomson, this painting captures a singular moment when I witnessed the sun setting over the distant hills, reflecting off the waters and shoreline rocks, while camping in Algonquin Park.   The vivid reds and yellow echo the drama of the sunset, while the distant hills provide contrast.  This work invites the viewer to step into a moment of time, reminiscing those early days when Tom Thomson also visited frequently this same area.
